Question 1

How often should I service my car?

Accepted Answer

It's recommended to change your oil at least once a year or according to the mileage specified by your manufacturer, whichever happens first. Even if the schedule suggests every two years, opting for an annual oil change is a wise choice, especially for engines equipped with a turbo, timing chain, or wet belt.

Question 2

How long does a car service take?

Accepted Answer

An interim service typically lasts about two hours, while a full service usually takes around three hours, and a major service can take up to four hours. If you're just getting an oil and filter change or a health check, that will generally take about an hour.

Question 3

Will servicing here affect my manufacturer's warranty?

Accepted Answer

According to the UK block exemption rules, having an independent service won't void the manufacturer's warranty as long as the service schedule is adhered to, quality parts are used, and the service is documented. We ensure that we follow your car's specific schedule, use oil approved by the manufacturer, and OEM filters. Additionally, we stamp the service book and update the digital service record accordingly.

Question 4

What oil and parts do you use?

Accepted Answer

It's important to use oil that is approved by the vehicle manufacturer instead of just any oil that meets the basic grade. Brands like Fuchs, Shell, and Castrol are commonly used as factory fill. Additionally, filtration systems from OEM suppliers such as Mann, Hengst, and Mahle are recommended.

Question 5

Do you service every make of car?

Accepted Answer

We service all makes and models, whether petrol or diesel. We have access to manufacturer diagnostic software for brands like VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, BMW, Mini, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar, Toyota, and Lexus. This means that dealing with the electronic systems in newer cars is just part of our routine, not a challenge.

Question 6

Do you guarantee the work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A minimum of 12 months or 12,000 miles on our own work.
